This is the first
helicopter that I worked out of when I was hired by WNBC Radio
in New York City. During that time, I logged close to
3,000 hours of flight time and had the pleasure of working with
Howard Stern and Don Imus. This particular helicopter is
an Enstrom and has beautiful artwork painted by Leroy Neiman on
the side. Cool, huh?

Back around 1985, I flew
for WCBS News Radio 88 in NYC. This photo was shot from
within the helicopter and you can see New York behind me through
the window. For all you helicopter connoisseurs, this
would be a Hughes 500C, just like the one you see in the TV show
Magnum, PI. Yes, I still watch Magnum, PI every afternoon!
Doesn't everyone? Oh, and I still watch Miami Vice and I
Love Lucy too! And, M.A.S.H, cuz there are lots of
helicopters!!

We found this really big,
life size photo of New York city and tied the helicopter to the
ceiling and took a photo with the city photo behind us so that
it "looks" like we are flying around. Looks real huh?
OK, and if you believe that, I'm sure you'll believe that the
photos of the US landing on the moon were actually shot on a
sound stage in Hollywood, CA!
No, that is really me flying high above the Big Apple
around 1985.

Now, this was too cool!
What girl wouldn't love to pose with Jon Bon Jovi and Ritchie
Sambora. I went to Moscow in 1989 for the Moscow Music
Peace Festival when I
was with WNEW-FM Radio.

Eat your heart out girls!
That would be Jon Bon Jovi again!

In November of 1986, I
hung up my wings and permanently retired from flying in
helicopters. I had too many close calls and lost a
colleague, Jane Dornacker, when her helicopter went down in the
Hudson River. As I was quoted in the New York Post, "I just
decided it's not worth the risk anymore."

OK, I know what you're
thinking!
You're thinking:
Donna Fiducia is a blonde!
And if blondes have more fun, what's up with the dark hair???
Well, let the truth be told. I had so much fun in high
school that in order to keep things in balance, I felt it was
best to not be blonde so I became a brunette! And if you
believe that, read on...
This photo was taken just
a few years ago. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago.
It's my senior picture from high school.

In college, and shortly
after graduating, I was a ROCK STAR in my own mind!
This was a band I played
with and we even made a record. For all you kids, a record
was something that was made out of vinyl. They were sold
in "record stores" and they were used to listen to music.
They were placed on a machine that was called a "record player"
and they spun around and a needle was placed in the tiny little
grooves. If they became scratched, they would skip.
Nowadays, you can see records and 8-track tapes in the
Smithsonian Institute. Just think of a "record" as a big
CD, but only different!
Here is the back of the
album:

So all you kids call your
favorite radio stations and request they play
"Get Out Of Harm's
Way" by The Legendary Earthlings!
The album can be found at
Walmart in the "WHERE ARE THEY NOW?" section!
